"There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?"James 4:12

There are different kinds of law that we live with each day of our lives:

I would like to talk about these different kinds of laws and how it affects us.

Law of Nature

We are affected by the law of nature and we cannot do anything about this. Gravity exist and you cannot decide or choose to become weightless. Seasons will be there, the sun will rise and set each day. The waves of the sea will roll and the lion will keep roaring and the wind will blow where it wants to. You cannot control nature at all. You cannot break these laws. It is set at the beginning of time when God spoke and the instructions were given. Nature only obeys God, and nobody, no matter how rich, famous or loved you are can take control of it.

Government Laws

These are set by the powers that are chosen by man-kind. Yes, we chose our governments, kings and queens.

In Sameul 8:6  - 9 it says: "But when they said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Sameul; so he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they rejected me as their king. As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights."

We have to obey the man-made laws, created by our governments, if we do not we will suffer the consequences. This time, we choose what we want to do, but Jesus even told us in Matthew 22:21 "Render to Caeser the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's. And in Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities."

Moral Laws

Mankind cannot keep any law and we are all guilty, especially the spiritual laws and because we cannot keep those laws we cannot enter heaven, but Jesus came to fulfill the law in His death. He n ailed the law to His cross. No longer will broken laws keep you from going to heaven. Now understand this, it does not give you the freedom to just go and break every single biblical law every day. It is not a passport to do what you like. Being a reborn christian is not about keeping the laws but knowing Jesus and having a relationship with Him. Walking with Jesus, knowing Him will let you want to please Him and do what is right automatically. You will not want to do what your old self did. You would change and allow the Holy Spirit to change your heart on a daily basis. You will basically crucify your earthly desires to become more like Him.

When you follow the lawgiver - Jesus Christ, you will live by the meaning of His laws, you will have a worthwhile life.
