Then Abraham planted a tamarisk [oak] tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God. Genesis 21:33
The Lord is El Olam. It means mystery. Olam means "secret" or "hidden."
I have seen so many questions floating around Facebook Groups, especially Christian Facebook Groups. Questions that are really difficult to answer because our God is El Olam.
Why is He allowing so much pain? Why famine? Why murder? Why did I lose my job? Why do I have to suffer so much? Why can there just be peace? Why...Why...Why!
How do you answer those questions. If you get quiet for a moment and think where those thoughts start. Be honest now...it starts within your own mind. When you question something, it means that you do not agree with what is happening, that is why you are questioning it. And, if you do not agree, it means you are looking to yourself for better solutions, better answers. You basically think, that you will have the answers and that you can dictate what should be happening or how it is suppose to be. The Bible clearly tells us. Your thoughts is not God's thoughts. We did not create this world. We are not all-knowing but God is. Even before He created this world, He knew what Satan will do. He knew the choices Adam and Eve and you will make. He also knew that because He loves us so much, how He will save us. Before the world was created, He knew it all. All has already happened, nothing is new to God. He knows when one hair falls from your head and He knows whether you will choose Him or not. Therefore, because He knew all of this, He send His only Son to die so that we can live forever.

Do we not see this. It is not about us. It is all about God. We ask all of these questions because we are selfish and we want things to be the way we think it should be. Please understand that I am not saying that we cannot have our own ways and ideas. I am saying that we should stop questioning God and start questioning our own motives. God's way is a mystery, secret, hidden "Olam" but He did reveal so much to us through His word and His Holy Spirit. We just need to obey.
My friends, life on this planet is short. You might think 70 - 80 years is a long time. It is not if you compare it to eternity. Let us rather serve God. Trust God, because He knows what He is doing and at the same time, because we trust, He will empower us to do what is necessary. If you see someone hungry...give Him food. If you see someone struggle emotionally...give them love. If you see someone hurt...help them. Jesus already set the example for us. He understand our struggles, but He did say that He will be there for us. We might not get everything we want and we will go through troubled times, but He promised never to leave and forsake you. That means, while you are breathing...He is with you and the moment you die, you will meet Him face to face and all the mystery and questions you have will be answered instantly.
Do not question anymore, instead help others, love others and pray for them to receive the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
