"And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." John 8:11

I've been pondering about this post for a while because I do not want to say anything that is not true from the word and therefore decided to give this verse and only focus on what is being said. In the last week I saw a Facebook Post of someone saying:

"I am a male and I am attracted to men, is that sin and if yes, can I be forgiven?"

I will rather not mention the answers that was given as it is horrifying to see what the world believe, even if it is written in the Bible so clearly. I also do believe that I should not be ignorant and think that everyone can openly see, because that will also not be the truth. Many people do not see, because they are so blinded by evil that they no longer can see what is right in front of them. They will even come up with "good things" proving that they are right, but evil in this world is deceiving and will even use good things to cover up the bad. Others will only read a few words and apply that, not thinking about it all in context. You have to read your Bible in context to be able to apply to your life.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins. That is so true.

So, let me take a step back. Before I became a reborn Christian, I did a lot of bad things and I continuously did them without feeling any remorse or even guilty. Why, because my eyes was closed and I did not see what I was doing to myself and those around me. (By the way, we humans, are the reason for our own destruction. You wonder why we are so unhappy? It is because of the choices we make every single day, but that is a post for another day.)

It did not matter how many times, people pointed out what I was doing wrong, not even the church, it did not affect me at all. Why? Well, we are human and slaves to evil. We are blinded by our own selfish desires. We want only what gives us satisfaction and pleasure, no matter the consequences of those pleasures.

Now, when you truly accept Jesus as your Christ, your Redeemer, your Savior, your Friend and most of all your God, things slowly change. You become a follower of Christ, not just a believer of Christ. Remember Satan also believe in Christ but that does not mean he is going to enter the Kingdom of God. True salvation comes when you give up your old life and follow Jesus. If you are still stuck in your own ways, then you truly did not accept Him. John 14:15 Jesus said: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." That is so clear. Now what is the commandments - It is the complete word of God. Everything that He is saying in the Bible, not just sections.

So, when you truly accept Christ and not just say you believe. Things starts to change, subtle and gentle. You will no longer look at the world in the same way or want the things of the world, because it will make you feel "sick" You would want to please God because you love Him. Nothing will be more important than to live in His will. Yes, it does not happen overnight, because your own selfish desires need to die and that is an ongoing process that only the Holy Spirit can help you with, but when you ask, He is there to remove all those things that is against God. Things like homosexuality, pornography, prostitution, addiction, hatred and so forth will be forgiven as it is the past, but you will have the Holy Spirit guiding you away from those things. Jesus said: to go and sin no more.

But yes, even Christians still sin, but it is not sin that is on purpose. What I mean is when you know that what you are doing is wrong, but you just keep doing that thinking that God already forgave you. That my friend is not from God. You have to rid yourself from the things of the world. It does not mean to stop living, but to listen to the Holy Spirit and His guidance and strip yourself bare, removing the things that makes you unholy.

Right here, right now...God is still working on my, molding me and removing all the impurities and it will not stop until the day my breath returns to Him, but while I am in the refiners fire, I will serve Him and worship Him with all my heart because I am forgiven and will be with Him one day.

My last word for this post: I became a Christian in 1996, but only a follower of Christ about 3 years ago. There is really a big difference between saying you believe and actually following Jesus. And no matter what you have done in the past, ask God for forgiveness, invite Him in to your life, follow Him and allow Him to change you daily. It is just amazing how it feels when your eyes start to open and God reveals, more and more to you.

Love you all and may you be blessed.
