How many times did a friend or family member make a promise to you but never kept that promise? I honestly believe that there is no human being that has not yet experienced this. We are so easy to say that we promise we will not speak about something or promise to return something or even promise till death do us part. But not God. God is not a liar and if He says that He will do something, He will! According to Digital Commons published on the internet in 1998, Storms came up with a grand total of 8,810 promises (7,487 of them being promises made by God to humankind. Now obviously, this might not be 100% accurate as we are all flesh, but it does give us a very good idea.

Exodus 7: 13
13Pharaoh?s heart, however, remained hard. He still refused to listen, just as the LORD had predicted.
My thoughts:
In the previous chapters we read that God made the Pharaoh stubborn and He told Moses what He will do. Now, the promise (the warning) God gave Moses came true. This is a good example, not just of God?s truthfulness in making things happen as He said, but also that fact that He knows the future.
Thinking and pondering on this makes me realise again; We have nothing to fear. We know that we are flesh, and we know that bad things can happen to us. We also know that each and every single person in this world will die. BUT, if you know Jesus Christ, you will also know where you will be going to, and that should give you peace of mind.
God promised, if you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you will enter the Kingdom of God. It is that simple.
