Now when He said to them, "I AM He," they drew back and fell to the ground. John 18:6

Let this verse take you back to the Garden of Gethsemane, just before Jesus was arrested by the soldiers. Jesus asked the soldiers, "Whom are you seeking?" (John 18:4). They answered, "Jesus of Nazareth" (John 18:5). When Jesus replied in return, "I AM He" (John 18:6). The soldiers fell backward to the ground in response. Ever thought of that. They were soldiers, they had no fear, yet they fell to the ground!

What can make a person who do not even believe in Jesus to fall to the ground? What happened at that moment. Put yourself in the shoes of those soldiers. What did they see to act in such a way.

They saw Jesus for who He really is. Jesus revealed to them His deity and pushed His humanity away for that moment in time.

If you ever question the fact that Jesus is God, then turn your bible to the Old Testament as the Bible refers to Him in so many ways: "I AM the Bread, the Light, the Door, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and True Vine.

Guys, Jesus is God. The word became flesh and lived among us. His grace, glory is amazing. Do you realize His greatness. He is holding "existence" in the palm of His hand. He moves the clouds to where they need to go, He makes the sun go up, He makes you breath, blink...there is nothing that He does not know. He knows your pain, hurt, happiness, thankfulness and even know what is going on in your thoughts. He understands you but most of all He loves you so much that He (God, died for you). Can you understand that. Imagine dying for someone that you do not even know, even worst, die for someone that caused your death.

Now you might think, lots of people died on a cross in the past, maybe even suffered even worst torment, but understand this. Nobody can experience what Jesus went through when He took the sin of the world on Himself. We deserved to die, but because He died and rose, we will live with Him forever.

I am not going to paint a beautiful picture but only give you the truth...If you do not accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and you do not believe that He died for you. You will not see the Kingdom of God. That is not me making anything up, but the truth. We can also not fool God, saying we believe and then continue to live for ourselves and not take up our own cross. You will have to sacrifice things in this world, learn to listen to Jesus and really follow Him.

It also do not mean that you will have a fantastic time here on earth. Nowhere Jesus promised that you will have a comfortable life, but He did say that we must not fear because when tribulations come, and they will, He will be there with you. And of-course, God do bless His children, just like you would bless your own children with material things. He loves you more and only want what is best for you.

?

God's glory is awesome and just imagine that, we will see Him one day as He really is and all your questions will be answered, heartbreak, pain and all the earthly things will pass, but we will be in His presence and live forever.
