This morning I was wondering why do people choose to serve any other god but the Trinity? What makes us (The Followers of Christ) different!

First, I can say with assurance it is because of God's grace that we have chosen Jesus. It is not us, but He who chose us. He who will fulfill the work in us that He started. Philippians 1: 6 says: " being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Secondly, God is so awesome that He gave us all free will which means, we can choose. It does not matter in what type of home you grew up, what your friends say or any other human being. Somewhere in your life you will question and wonder and will need to choose. You might choose to serve other gods because you fear your parents or community. You might choose other gods because you had a bad experience with a church...there are multiple reasons, but at the end of the day. You need to choose and I pray that you choose life and not death because there is just one road that leads to heaven and that is Jesus Christ.

In the bible times we have read of multiple different types of Gods - Baal, Chemosh, Molech and Brahman just to name a few. These gods are powerful fallen angels that rebelled against God. They hate everything and everybody that is connected to Jesus. They even perform signs and wonders to deceive people with the end goal to destroy them.

So, why on earth do people choose other gods and not God The Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit - Trinity?

My opinion is as follows:

The Trinity is a jealous God. In Exodus 34:4 it says: "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God... Other gods do not mind if you serve multiple gods. God is proud that He made you. You are precious to Him and therefore He is jealous over you as you are His treasure.

People want instant gratification. They want to do things their way and other gods allow them to do that. They can change, amend, adjust their believe to fit them. They can make up their own rules and change them when they need to. With the Trinity, you cannot do that. The Bible makes it very clear that you do not add, remove anything from the word of God. And yes, I am sure some things are lost in translation over the years, but I am not here to judge that. I am just saying what it says in His word. If God says: You shall not kill. He means it. He is not going to allow that because someone needs to be punished with death because they did not follow certain things in their specific religion. I can think of many religions where people are killed because they did not follow specific instructions. There are many other examples, but the point is that God never changes.

Most people want to see what they worship. It is difficult to believe in something you cannot see and this is where all the other gods make their appearance. Money, sex, drugs, entertainment and even food are all gods that are ruling the earth. It makes people feel good but at the end, if you serve them, you feel empty and other feelings such as self-hatred, harmful thoughts and depression starts. But with the Trinity, you might not see who you worship, but you can see His creation and experience Him when you seek Him.

I pray that if you are reading this and you are not a follower of Christ, that you will start seeking Him, because if you seek Him, you will Find Him and truly be saved, not just saved for eternity with Him, but saved from yourself and all the things the world can throw at you.
