It has been over a year since I've made a blog post. Do not ask me why as I will not be able to come up with a good enough excuse. What I can say is the Lord has been very busy with me. I have changed so much and I can feel that He is not yet finished with me.

Things that mattered to me in the past are slowly disappearing. The more time I spend with Him in His word, the more silly the things of the world become and I can only shake my head in awe of how ignorant I was. I cannot help to think: ?If this is the way I feel now, what will my thoughts be in a year's time?? God is so good, so patient, so gentle and His grace abounds.

So what is my next step? I have made a decision to blog daily on what I have studied in scripture for the day. That decision came when I read Exodus 3 and 4. Basically, Moses told God that he cannot talk well?that was his excuse; still, God used Him. Maybe that was my excuse for not blogging. I am not good at writing but I now have faith that if my message needs to reach only one person in my lifetime, that would be enough and well worth the effort.

Exodus 3: 7-10

Then the LORD told him, ?I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey?the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live. 9Look! The cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them. 10Now, go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.?

My thoughts:

God delivered the Israelites from their enemy by using Moses and awesome miracles. Today, we are delivered from ourselves and our enemies because of what Jesus has done on the cross.

Exodus 3: 11 - 12

11But Moses protested to God, ?Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt??

12God answered, ?I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.?

My thoughts:

We sometimes think things and do not say them aloud. We do not even talk to God about it. Maybe we think he will not know. He knows before we even think about it. Why do we just not do what Moses did and speak to Him? I am sure He wants to talk to us. That is how relationships are formed. The fact that He is all-knowing, does not mean we cannot build a relationship with Him. We are humans and we need to talk to one another to establish a foundation for relationships. We honestly do not need to fear anything. If God brings something to you. Whether it is an opportunity, another friend, a difficult task, or anything that might paralyze you, remember, He will take you through it.

Exodus 4: 10 -17

10But Moses pleaded with the LORD, ?O Lord, I?m not very good with words. I never have been, and I?m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.?

11Then the LORD asked Moses, ?Who makes a person?s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the LORD? 12Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.?

13But Moses again pleaded, ?Lord, please! Send anyone else.?

14Then the LORD became angry with Moses. ?All right,? he said. ?What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he speaks well. And look! He is on his way to meet you now. He will be delighted to see you. 15Talk to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with both of you as you speak, and I will instruct you both in what to do. 16Aaron will be your spokesman to the people. He will be your mouthpiece, and you will stand in the place of God for him, telling him what to say. 17And take your shepherd?s staff with you, and use it to perform the miraculous signs I have shown you.?

My thoughts:

We need to stop with excuses. It means nothing to God. He is all-powerful and He can and will equip you with the task ahead and if you are not willing, He will use others to do that task with you or without you.

God is the great I AM and nothing is impossible for Him. He made us and can use us?broken or not.

All Glory to our Father, The  Son, and the Holy Spirit!
