What is the definition of Glory? What does it mean to you? What is the Glory of the Lord? How does the Glory of the Lord affect you?  These are all questions that we might ponder. Let?s look at them individually.

Definition of Glory:

According to the dictionary, looking at the noun it means: high renown, honor, magnificence or great beauty. The verb refers to take great pride or pleasure in? Understanding the meaning makes me realize that nothing on earth can have glory! You might differ from me, but let me tell you why I see it that way. To be classified as high renown, honor or great beauty you will need to be completely flawless which means every single person in the world will see you that way and therefore, because we are sinful we cannot be measured to that standard.

What does it mean to you?

If we ponder on the definition and work it out for ourselves and realize that we are not perfect and that we do not have any glory, then what on earth can it mean to you? Let me put it this way. We all strive to be somebody, become something, achieve greatness and the list goes on, but you will never, no matter how rich or famous you become will be completely satisfied. We were made with an open space in our hearts that can only be filled by our creator - God. And not just a god, THE GOD, the trinity, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. To get that filled a few things need to happen and all of it has to do with the Glory of the Lord which brings us to the next question.

What is the Glory of the Lord?

How does the Glory of the Lord affect you?

As you can see, He will start to transform you to be more godly. The more you look at the Holy Spirit the more you want to become godly because you want to make your creator happy with you. They say that you become who and what you hang out with and the same applies in the spiritual world. If you look at the Holy Spirit, read the word of God, follow Jesus, you will become a better person as you will start to seek Him more, serve Him better and worship Him in a completely different way. You will realize that life on this earth is merely a dust particle to what is to come and to see God?s Glory more and more gives you a glimpse of what life will be like in eternity. Worshiping and adoring the Trinity sets you apart, it molds your heart, removes your old selfish ways and changes you to make you ready for eternity.
